New Lineup and things to come

Lots of things are changing for me at the moment, and I just don't mean the move to Alabama. I want to be able to say I blog regularly. I don't now, but I am going to try to change, I swear.
Anyway, I am looking for authors who would want to be spotlighted on my blog. Every Monday I am going to have a Monday Author Spotlight. Email me if you would like to participate. melissa@melissaschroeder.net please put Monday Author Spotlight in the subject line.

Starting next week, READERS AND AUTHORS, I am going to start my Whatcha Reading Wednesdays. Does not have to be a first read, as I reread a lot, but just a posting of what you are reading. Everyone's name goes in the hat for a 10 dollar GC from Amazon or B and N.

I have a lot of things on my plate right now and the back has been a bitch. Just getting through some days is hard enough, but I am trying to finish up A Little Harmless Submission. As it stands right now, though, here is my line up for the next few months:

Reissues
August
Love or Honor
Sinner's Delight

Oct
Going for Eight

Feb
Cowboy Up

New work
Sept
The Last Detail

November
Infatuation: A Little Harmless Military Romance

Jan
Second Chance at Love (Once Upon an Accident novella featuring Sebastian and Anna's mother. Find out what she was so preoccupied with during The Spy Who Loved Her)

March/April
The Cursed Clan: Black Diamond

May
Relentless: A Little Harmless Military Romance

July
Surrender: A Little Harmless Military Romance

I cannot say when things will happen with my Samhain or Siren books. I am turning a lot of things in the next few months, so hopefully I will hear something soon. I am also in talks with WCP about doing some more work with them. I would like to continue on my books after Her Mother's Killer. I will let you know as soon as everything is finalized.

The Way NOT to Ring in the New Year

Well, yesterday was not fun. For those of you who don't know, I suffer from Degenrative Disc Disease. It is a really long and fancy way of saying I am a clutz who fell down the stairs 8 years ago and damaged a disc in my back. It sits on a muscle in my upper back, causes a spasm and causes many of my migraines. I have learned to control it mainly without drugs. I HATE having to take muscle relazers. It clouds my senses and makes it hard to write. So, I found a wonderful massage therapist who works on my upper back for an hour every 2-3 weeks. But, she is out of town and the muscle spasm went insane yesterday, causing one of the worse migraines I have had in awhile. So, I ended up at Prince William County Medical center where they drugged me up and sent me home. I have a note not to work today, bwahahahaha. Les gave me a look like I was to be off the computer today, but I think resting in bed WITH my computer would count as rest, right? lol I have to finish A Little Harmless Addiction and another project so I know I will get SOME writing in today before the muscle relaxer hits me.

But, if I am not around much the next couple days that is why. I hope you all stayed safe and sound for the New  Year's Day, and make sure to vote for your fav hero. It ends in a few hours!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>
Oh, I guess we should have some purty manmeat for the New Year, yes?

Free A Little Harmless Obsession Giveaway

I have been really under the weather lately with my back spasm. For those of you who don't know about it, I have a condition known as Degenerative Disc Disease which basically means I have a damaged disc. It sits on a muscle in my upper back and causes all kinds of problems from time to time. Unfortunately, Uma, my miracle worker, was out of town so I had no massage therapy to help. Just getting through the little bit of writing and paperwork has been hard, so I haven't been around that much.

Done whining about that,lol.

What I am really writing about is my recent release, A Little Harmless Obsession. While sales have been good, on Amazon they have been eh, so I need a little help. Do you want to help? I can offer up to 20 copies of the book in digital download if you would be willing to post a review on Amazon and/or your blog, goodreads, etc. No strings attached other than that. This offer will end on 10/16/2010. Respond in the comments here on my blog if you are interested, message me on goodreads, or email me.
Please remember, you must be 18 to get the book and it is explicit with BDSM. It isn't for the faint of heart but it is a romance. Again, it is only for the first 20 responders.
Here is a little blurb:

What begins as a quest for submission becomes an unrelenting need for love.
May Aiona’s crush on sexy Evan Chambers is a bad habit that should be easy to break. It’s not like he’s ever noticed her. Looking for a safe place to release the reins of control and explore her curiosity about BDSM, May takes a friend up on an invitation to visit an exclusive bondage club—all she has to agree to is a public submission.
Evan can’t help but notice the exotically beautiful May. But despite his success, the dirty secrets of his past whisper that he’ll never be good enough for her. When Evan sees her standing in his club ready to submit to his best friend, he gives in to the thing he wants most—May as his sub. After their session, he knows one night will never be enough. But loving May isn’t easy for a man always ready to take charge. She might like to submit in the bedroom, but she doesn’t like anyone telling her what to do outside of it.
When May insists she’s not in any danger from the person seemingly obsessed with her, she ends up in the sights of a deranged stalker—with Evan possibly too far away to help.
Warning: This book contains sexy Hawaiian settings, crazy relatives, and a submission scene that leaves the heroine breathless and the hero frustrated. There are toys, bondage, and love scenes so hot, you’ll need ice water and a towel. Remember, it’s a Harmless story, so you know there’s nothing harmless about it.

Thanks so much, everyone!

Good Monday Morning

I would like to say it was at least a good Monday. Granted, it is my favorite type. Dreary, cool and rainy, but I had at most 3 hours of sleep last night.  I was too wired up to fall asleep without TV and I did that, on the couch, so now my back is worse. Yeah, that was super smart.
That being said, I am going to see Uma the Massage Goddess today, so it should all work out. I am sure she will TSK at me for sleeping on the couch and spending most of the weekend bent over the computer. But, A Little Harmless Lie has been turned in. I would like to say I have today to goof off but I don't. My house looks like a cyclone hit it. With the release of A Little Harmless Obsession and finishing up A Little Harmless Lie, I have ignored my housecleaning...more than usual. Of course, there ARE three other people living in this house, but apparently, it was beyond their abilities (insert sarcasm here).
And, well, work continues. I have a synopsis to write, a blurb worksheet to fill out, two cover questionnaires, and edits landed in my email Friday for Delilah's Downfall. I need to finish off the next Hawaiian Holidays book also. All of this is my work for this week. Why am I pushing myself? Well, mainly because I am going to spend a good chunk of Oct editing The Spy Who Loved Her. So, I am busy, busy, but at least today, I get a break for Uma to work on my back.
I hope everyone has a great Monday.
