New Release Party: M J Fredrick

Next up is M J Fredrick and her release from Carina Press!!  M J has offered up a 10 dollar GC to Amazon so why don't we talk road trips. Have you been on one that was great, horrible, want to do one? I have always wanted to do Route 66 with the family:) They have declined, lol.
Meet MJ:

Had she misread the signs?
Briefly captivated by the idea of romance and pretty, shiny weddings, Willow Hawkins agreed to meet her potential boyfriend's family and quickly realized she'd made a mistake. Stranded in small-town Nowhere, Willow calls her best friend, Cameron Trask, for an escape.
Even though he'll miss an important job interview, Cam comes to her rescue. When Willow starts to see Cam with new eyes, she wonders how she's never made the connection from best friend to best lover. Willow has one chance to help the man she loves—join him on a cross-country road trip to get to the interview on time. On the way they'll face a jealous puppy, an unreliable automobile and weather that threatens to trap them alone...together.
The biggest roadblock she'll come up against? If Cam gets his dream job, Willow may lose him for good.

One of the best road trips was a girls trip when I was 20 to New Orleans from IL. Drama for sure - 3girls in 1 vehicle - need I say more. :-)
But we had a blast and I have the Pat O'Brian glasses to prove it!

Oh, this one sounds so sweet! I want to go on a road trip from my home in NY to the grand canyon and back... taking time to stop at anything that looks interesting! It WILL happen... just not sure when.

I hate road trips. My worst one was when I was 16 traveling in a huge RV with my grandmother, her sister and her brother-in-law. We were on the road for two weeks. Oy

I drove down from Toronto, Ontario, Canada all the way to Orlando Florida and back, twice along the I-75 and I loved it! The scenery was beautiful. The people we met along the way were so friendly and we loved stopping by Cracker Barrel LOL. We don't have them here so to us it was a treat.

It was great seeing the beautiful countryside with our family. :)

We drove from Portland OR to San Diego when I was young. And a few years later we drover from Portland to Yellowstone and then down to the Grand Canyon and OMG I was so glad when we got home. My mom and my sister annoyed me two days into the trip.

One year we went with our neighbors and their family to Myrtle Beach. It was about a 16 hour drive and it was really fun. There was about 4 or 5 car loads. We had a blast.

No road trip for this chickie this year. We did a big one last year to tide me over. Virginia to Washington State then down to Colorado.

A truck, 3 kids and not enough pain relief in the world. lol

The last one was 5 days from Nevada to Wisconsin during one of the worst snow storms this year. I'll be doing the same road trip from Wisconsin to Nevada with the dog, but I'm hoping it won't take as long. Thankfully my dog loves the ride. Next year, I'll be road tripping to Texas, Arkansas and Georgia.

My best road trip was when my family rented a camper and spent 6 weeks traveling through Montana, and Yellowstone National Park. The doors on the cupboards wouldn't latch properly and every time we made a turn, everything would fall out. Lots of laughter that trip.

I've always loved reading about road trips and imagined that I'd want to do one, but I have to consider the possibility that the reality might be far different! I've always been curious to see the US by car--Route 66, the national parks, the works!

Road trips are fairly enjoyable to me ~ especially when using little-used roads and seeing things you cannot see from the highways. I love taking photos along the way.

One huge road trip we took a number of years ago was from California to Virginia ~ me in my car following my husband in his car. The oddest thing happened each day I got behind the wheel of my car ~ I got incredibly sleepy!! What I did to counteract the sleepiness was to take notes of things I was seeing on a little tablet as we drove the long lonely stretches of highways and roads.

My last road trip was moving my family from Ohio to San Antonio and surprisingly enough it was one of the most enjoyable I've been on. I think that was because my munchkinz were hooked up to electronics the entire trip...thank god for electronics!

I loove road trips. I'm originally from Michigan and every yr my grandma would come down here (SC) and get me for the summer. One yr, she brought my cousin down with her and we went to TX and picked up another cousin. She drove from TX back to MI with a three yr old, a 14 yr old, and me (16 yr old). We spent the night at a motel and the man only charged her for one person bc any grandma brave enough to do that deserved a break.

I went on a road trip to Forks, WA over Labor Day weekend last year and it was amazing! Plan on doing it again. The sunrises and sunsets on the beach made every hour on the road more than worth it:)
